We were heading back to Minnesota for Memorial Day weekend. We had so many fun things planned while we were home. Your Grandpa and Grandma Wiebold couldn’t wait to have the chance to have a little alone time with you, and Mommy and Daddy were looking forward to a fun day together. Daddy and I were headed to Northfield where we were going to meet with a realtor that was going to show us potential homes that we could rent while Daddy taught at Carleton. We started by visiting the campus and Daddy showed me where he would be teaching. You and I can go visit Daddy for lunch and have a picnic on the beautiful lawn.

We received a call… The realtor that was suppose to show us a few homes called fifteen minutes before we were to meet and cancelled on us. Ugh! We were so disappointed since this was one of our only chances to see some places before we moved home. We went to step two and called a woman who had found our add on Craigslist about us trying to find a home to rent. Diane was available to show us her home that is located in Faribault, MN. It is about a 25 minute commute to Northfield so we were a little skeptical.

The drive was very beautiful as the home is located in the country… As we pulled into the driveway, your Daddy and I just looked at each other with amazement. It was so peaceful and beautiful… How will we contain our excitement? The couple that is renting out their home is looking for a responsible family to watch over their house while they are away. I think the four of us (Finn included), are the right family for them.

The house was beautiful and it seemed a little too good to be true. Daddy and I needed to think about it since this was a big decision.

Meanwhile, you were enjoying a relaxing day with your Grandparents… It was a good thing that you were resting up since we would be taking you to your first Twins game on Sunday. We were so excited that Grandma and Grandpa Hanson were coming with us also. We parked and rode the train to the new stadium that was sure to be very hot since we were experiencing record heat. Once we found our seats we realized that we would be in the shade and nice and cool. Moments into the game and the crowd went wild… Your bottom lip began to quiver and you were in an all out cry. We didn’t realize that the noise may be a little too much for your little ears. We quickly solved the problem with little baby ear plugs… We enjoyed 6 full innings until it was time to go home. Success!!!
