Mommy has been training for her 3rd half marathon since July. It is a little more difficult to find the time to train since our days are full of fun activities for you. Mommy likes to get out and run by herself because it gives me some alone time. Daddy has been very helpful when he gets home to send me out for my runs. I couldn’t wait to have you and Daddy on the side lines cheering me on!

We were also looking forward to having a playdate with Uncle Adam and Mary… They invited us over to their place in the cities. They had just recently adopted a beautiful dog that needed some company. Finn had so much fun playing with Suka! Adam and Mary were glad they got some time to spend with you and you quickly showed them that their house wasn’t baby proofed. Hopefully soon they will have a baby so you can have a buddy to play with!

Today was your first day of school. We found an Early Childhood Family Education class in Faribault that we were going to start attending. Mommy couldn’t wait for you to play with all of the other little kids. When we got to the classroom it was filled with books and toys and pretend kitchens! Your eyes were so bright and full of excitement. It didn’t take you long to leave my side and crawl around with your new friends.

We were both very excited to go to school every week and play with our friends and do art projects while singing songs. It made Mommy very proud to see you playing well with other little kids. Most of them were walking and I could see the wheels turning in your head! Maybe soon you will take your first step…

Today was Auntie Jen’s big day. She was still living in Italy where she met her soon to be husband Edy. You have gotten to know Auntie Jen and Uncle Edy over Skype. Everytime you hear that ring over the computer your little face lights up. Because of the time difference in Italy, we had to get up a 3AM. Needless to say Mommy let you stay sleeping while Nana, Grandpa Dave, Auntie Chrissy and I watched over Skype.

Auntie Jen looked beautiful and most of all she looked so happy. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding with all of Jen and Edy’s closest friends. We were all a little sad that we weren’t there to witness it… We have started to count down the days until they move home!

We made your Daddy a nice breakfast for his first day of school. We were both so proud of him but had gotten used to him being home. We took a picture of him before he left, a tradition on any first day of something new. We were proud of him but could not wait for him to come back home.

Daddy’s day was a huge success and he got the feeling that he was really going to enjoy his new professor job at Carleton.
