Mommy had the option to have you placed on my chest immediately,  instead of being taken away to be weighed and measured. You and I spent the first twenty minutes of your life snuggling and kissing. They placed a hat and blanket around you and gave your Daddy and I some time to soak in the miraculous feeling. You introduced Mommy to your ability to urinate when a little chilled, it wasn’t the last time Mommy experienced this! You weighed 7lbs and 8oz, measuring 19 inches long. We had the greatest nurse,  and she ordered a meal for Daddy and I immediately after giving birth so that we could eat ASAP. I have never tasted a better grilled cheese sandwich and french fries. Your Daddy got his traditional cheeseburger and french fries and we both washed our food down with a delicious chocolate malt. We were about to go upstairs where we would settle into our family suite. I mean suite, because they were brand new rooms that were equipped with a double bed for both Mommy and Daddy and a Spa-like bathroom that was so comforting. We were so excited to get to know you and all of the lessons we were about to learn as new parents.
